One of Tools & Production’s strengths is the knowledge and experience gathered in over 50 years of designing and manufacturing custom rotary punch units. This experience usually allows us to "know" what the customer needs, even if he or she doesn’t. In other words, the customer may know that they need to produce a finished product but may not know how it will be done. This is where T&P’s years of experience at producing solutions for specialty applications is a valuable resource. We not only know how to produce the punch unit, but we can also advise our customers on how the punch unit will interface with the rest of the printing or converting operation. While we may not have seen their exact application before, our experience with similar jobs in the past will ensure that the solution we come up with will be the best for the customer.

Tea Industry Over the years, T&P has manufactured numerous male/female punch units for tea tag and tea bag envelope applications. Our tooling has been operating for over 30 years in the tea industry in locations as diverse as Sri Lanka, Indonesia, the Middle East, India, Australia, Japan, Russia and Turkey. We have also supplied local markets in the United States, Mexico and South America with various tea tag punch units. Our manufacturing experience ranges from 7" narrow web flexo presses up to 40" wide rotogravure presses running over 1,500 FPM. Designs have been fabricated for Constanta, Maisa, IMA and IWKA tags and envelopes to name the most popular. These names refer to the manufacturers from Germany, Italy and Argentina who have designed the automatic tea packaging machines that are used to put the tea in the bag, the bag in the envelope, and attach the string and tag. T&P has the knowledge and experience to design and manufacture the right punch unit for any of your tea tag applications.
